Race Details

Date: Sunday Oct. 19, 2014

Directions for all race weekend venues and locations: (Click for directions)

Start Times:
8:00 AM Half Marathon Start
*   8:00 AM Marathon Start

Course Information: (Click for course maps)
   *   Flat & Fast
   *   Half-Marathon double loop using portions of the marathon course
   *   Marathon primarily a double loop
   *   Roads are not closed to automobile traffic
*   Course is not suitable for strollers, in-line skates or wheelchair athletes

Typically in the 50s (Click for current forecast)

Entry Fees:
Marathon          Half-Marathon
$75                     $55               before Aug 1st
$80                     $60               before Sept 1st
$85                     $65               before Oct 1st
$90                     $70               before Oct 15th (on-line closes)
$95                     $75               on-site during race expo (if space available)

Note: If registering on race weekend only cash or checks will be accepted (NO CREDIT CARDS on race weekend)
You MUST BE 16 or older to register for this race

T-Shirts: Long-sleeved t-shirts to all runners.

Marathon Prize Money:
* Open:                 $400  $300  $200  $100  $75
* Masters (40+):     $200  $100   $50
* Seniors (50+):      $100   $75   $50
* Veterans (60+):      $75   $50
Monetary prizes are awarded on gun time only

Medals to ALL Marathon and Half Marathon Finishers
 (New in 2011) Personalized Award Plaques (your award, your name, your finish time)
Top 3 Overall male & female
*   Top 3 male & female in the following age group divisions:
*  19  & under
*  20 – 29
*  30 – 39
*  40 – 49
*  50 – 59
*  60 – 69
*  70+ 

Note: All awards and monetary prizes will be mailed after the race.
Winners will be notified by email and asked to confirm information for the customized plaques.

Pace Teams:
There will be six pace teams: 3:05, 3:15, 3:25, 3:35, 3:45, 4:00

*   @ Lowell High School (Click for directions)
*   Friday, Oct 17th – 6pm to 10pm
*   Saturday, Oct 18th – 10am to 6pm
*   All major suppliers
*   Booths and Demos
*   Number & packet pick up

Pasta Dinner:
*   All You Can Eat Pasta Dinner
*   Free for Registered Runners
*   $10 For Guests
*   @ Lowell High School (Click for directions)
*   Saturday, Oct 18th – 4pm to 6pm

Refunds, Transfers & Deferrals:
* Entry fees are not refundable
* You may can transfer your registration to another runner for a fee ($10) until Oct 1
* You may can transfer between events for a fee ($5) and pay any increases, until Oct 1
* Marathon Deferrals are only granted for medical issues.  You must request before Sept 1.
* There are no deferrals for the Half Marathon.
* After Oct 1, no changes can be made.

Number & Packet Pick Up at Lowell High School:
   *   You may pickup packets for your friends.  You must have a copy of their drivers license
*   Friday Oct 17th – 6pm to 10pm
*   Saturday Oct 18th – 10am to 6pm
    *** Warning:  If you wait until race day to pickup your packet, we cannot guarantee you get to the starting line on time.  Be prepared for traffic & lines.  ***
   *   Oct 19th – Race Day  – 6am to 7:30am (Click for directions)

Runners Services:
Bag check at starting line
*   Digital clocks at every 2 miles for marathon
*   Water and Lemon-Lime Gatorade approximately every 2 miles
*   Power Gels at approx miles 7 and 17
*   Water & porta-potty stations on course (Click for course maps)
*   Timing via B-Tag RFID system
*   Course is maintained for a 6 hour marathon running time
After the 6 hour limit on a rolling basis course services may not be available
